01Overview

These terms are the agreement between you and Gradus for using the product. By creating an account or using Gradus you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Gradus.

02Your account

You need an account to use Gradus. You must give accurate information, keep your password safe, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account. You may close your account at any time, as described in the privacy policy.

03What Gradus gives you

Gradus gives you access to study content and tools for the papers and features you are entitled to, whether granted free or paid. We may add, change, or remove features as the product develops. We try to keep Gradus available and working, but we do not promise it will always be available without interruption.

04Acceptable use

Gradus is for your own exam study. You agree not to:

• share your account or your access with anyone else, or let anyone else use your login;
• copy, download in bulk, scrape, republish, resell, or redistribute Gradus content;
• use Gradus content to train or build a competing product or any automated model;
• try to break, overload, probe, or get around the security or access controls of Gradus;
• use Gradus for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms other users or Gradus.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.

05Content and intellectual property

All Gradus study content, including notes, flashcards, practice questions, mock exams, study sessions, and videos, and the Gradus name, design, and software, belong to Gradus or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You get a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use this content for your own exam study while your access lasts. You do not get any ownership of it. The names ACCA and CFA and any exam names belong to their respective bodies. Gradus is an independent study product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by ACCA, CFA Institute, or any examining body. Anything you create or enter in Gradus, such as your written mock answers or notes, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide the product to you.

06Payment and access

Gradus is a paid product. You buy access one paper or one level at a time. Payments are taken securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. The base price is shown in US dollars. ACCA papers are 59 US dollars per paper and CFA levels are 129 US dollars per level. Stripe may show you a local currency or a regional price at checkout based on where you are.

Each purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It grants you access to that paper or level for twelve months from the date you buy. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. The checkout page always shows the exact price, the currency, and what you are buying before you pay.

Some parts of Gradus are free to use, and some require a purchase. What is free and what is paid is shown in the product. We may change our prices, but a price change will never affect access you have already paid for. Once your payment clears, the paper or level unlocks on your account right away.

07Refunds and cancellation

Gradus provides digital learning content and services. When you purchase access, paid content may be made available immediately.

7-day refund. If you change your mind, email us within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not have to give a reason. This applies to every one-time purchase: ACCA papers and CFA levels. After 7 days, purchases are final except where applicable consumer law says otherwise or we approve a refund.

Some countries give consumers a cancellation, withdrawal, or cooling-off right for online purchases. Where such a right applies, you may cancel within the period required by law. For digital content or digital services, where permitted by law, that right may end or be limited once you request immediate access and acknowledge that access begins before the cooling-off period ends.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory legal rights you may have. You may still be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement, credit, re-performance, price reduction, cancellation, or other remedy if Gradus is not provided as described, is materially defective, is unavailable due to our fault, is not delivered, or you were charged in error.

To ask for a refund, or for any other support, contact hello@getgradus.com. Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless applicable law requires otherwise.

08Disclaimers

Gradus is a study aid. It does not guarantee that you will pass any exam, and your results depend on your own work. Gradus content is for study only and is not professional, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice. We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or that it matches the latest syllabus at all times, and you should check anything important against official exam materials. Some written-answer mock grading is automated and approximate, so practice marks on written answers are indicative only and not an official assessment. Gradus is provided as is and as available to the extent the law allows.

09Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Gradus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost study time, or for exam outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10Suspension and ending your access

You may stop using Gradus and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the product, in which case we will give reasonable notice and deal fairly with access you have paid for but can no longer use.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we make a significant change we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Gradus after a change, you accept the updated terms.
